EVIL TWIN COMICS has been a peddler of fine, fine funnybooks since duping the misguided do-gooders at the Xeric Foundation into giving writer Fred Van Lente and artist Ryan Dunlavey a self-publishing grant in Spring 2005. Since then, ETC has delighted and annoyed dozens of readers in more than three states with such (finger quotes) "sequential literature" masterpieces as ACTION PHILOSOPHERS and COMIC BOOK COMICS. This web site is a monument to their greatness.
Ryan is far too modest to brag about this himself, but Fred is a shameless whore.
As part of their on-going “New York Artists Showcase” series, the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art in New York City is exhibiting a career-spanning retrospective of Evil Twin’s artistic genius from Dec. 18 2009 through February 15, 2009! MoCCA gallery hours and directions are here.

For those of you looking for your Fred and Ryan comic book fix during the far-too-long wait between issues Comic Book Comics - check out Papercutz’s Tales from the Crypt #9 - available at your local comic store right now! The second feature “Glass Heads” is written by Fred with full-color art by Ryan. The lead feature “Chicken Man” is really cool and creepy - it captures the sprit of the original “Tales” comics really well while putting a modern spin on the storytelling. 48 full-color pages with no ads for only $3.99, and if you know anything about modern comics prices you’ll know that’s a good deal!

Ryan has been swamped with multiple commitments in recent months and as a result, the production of Comic Book Comics has been delayed.
Originally issues #3 and 4 were scheduled to be released in October 2008 and January 2009, respectively.
Comic Book Comics #3 will now arrive in January 28, 2009.
Comic Book Comics #4 will now arrive in February 2009.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
